ANTHONY JOSHUA proved he is not only the heavyweight champion of the world but the people’s champion as he laughed and joked with fans at a Las Vegas pool party.
The Watford-born superstar was in Nevada this week with promoter Eddie Hearn to check out the T-Mobile Arena.
The pair are scoping out potential venues for Joshua’s first fight in the US – as reports of a rematch with former undisputed champ Wladimir Klitschko continue to gather pace.
After their “site visit”, as Hearn dubbed it, Joshua decided to chill with friends at the Encore Beach Club to watch Swedish DJ Alesso on Saturday.
The shirtless IBF and WBA world champ was seen relaxing with friends and engaging with fans in a VIP ‘bungalow’, looking as ripped as ever.
The bungalows, which can hold more than 25 guests, cost up to $15,000 (£11,500) to reserve.
Joshua was in jovial mood as he sat by the pool, taking a selfie with one stunning fan and chatting to another.
The 27-year-old later posted a picture of the event to his Instagram page, writing: “Clean hearts win.”
Joshua was sat alongside the ponytail-wearing Leon Skinner. An actor who is also the man behind Millbank Tower members’ only party The Hangout.
His cousin Ben Ileyemi, a former pro boxer who hasn’t fought since 2013, was also at the party as were other members of the Joshua entourage.
The Encore Beach Club has become a favourite for celebrities and sports stars alike.
Former England captain Wayne Rooney jetted their almost immediately after the Three Lions were dumped out of the World Cup in Brazil three years ago.
Olympic gold medallist Joshua looks set to fight in November and although a Klitshschko rematch remains the most likely, he has plenty of suitors.
