ANTONIO CONTE has committed his future to Chelsea by signing a new two-year deal with the club worth £20million.
The Blues boss was linked with a return to Italy this summer, but he’s ended speculation he could move away.
Conte guided Chelsea to Premier League glory in his first season at Stamford Bridge.
He said: “I am very happy to have signed a new contract with Chelsea.
“We worked extremely hard in our first year to achieve something amazing, which I am very proud of. Now we must work even harder to stay at the top.
“The Chelsea fans have given me so much support since I arrived here one year ago. and it is important we continue to succeed together.”
Conte’s Blues head to Asia for their pre-season tour this week, where they will take on Arsenal, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan.
The former Juventus boss has become a fan favourite at Stamford Bridge for his enigmatic touchline presence and tactical nous.
Conte has two new arrivals in his back-room team this summer with Paolo Vanoli joining as an assistant and Davide Mazzotta in an analysis role.
Director Marina Granovskaia said: “Antonio achieved incredible success last season, adapting to English football very quickly and leading us to the Premier League title.
“This new contract reflects our belief that he can continue to deliver results both domestically and as we return to European competition in the Champions League.”
The Chelsea manager was reportedly unhappy with the lack of transfer activity earlier this summer.
The Blues completed the signing of Monaco’s Tiemoue Bakayoko and also Antonio Rudiger from Roma.
