FORMER boxing middleweight Champ arrested

FORMER boxing world champion Jermain “Bad Intentions” Taylor has been arrested in the United States.

The former middleweight star has reportedly been detained by the Maumelle Police for a multiple of charges.

They include domestic battery and terroristic threatening charges.

Police in the the Arkansas town arrested him at 2.40am. after Ashley White, believed to be his partner, claimed she had been attacked during an argument.

She alleged that the 38-year-old had attempted to damage her mobile phone to stop her ringing 911. and also bit her several times.

According to an official statement released by the police, White says she sprayed Taylor with pepper spray in the face as he tried to stop her from running away.

She did then manage to get outside the house, but Taylor chased her down the street while threatening to kill her.

Officers did note that White had bite marks on her.

Taylor was charged with misdemeanor third-degree battery, felony terroristic threatening and misdemeanor interference with emergency communication before he was . He was released after being cited.

Boxing bad boy Taylor received a suspended sentence on three felony charges last May.

Circuit Judge Leon Johnson handed him a suspended 19-year sentence on the condition he remained out of trouble.

It was said at the time that the veteran was in training to make an in-ring comeback.

Earlier this year he was granted permission to travel to Florida to train under constant supervision.

He has also been sued by a man he allegedly beat up in a rehab facility.

It is claimed Taylor smelled of intoxicants and told the officer he had not harmed White or her phone.

He was given a no-contact order related to his partner and ordered not to return to the residence.
