Alexis Sanchez’s head in the clouds

ALEXIS SANCHEZ missed out on a Beijing mobbing as he took a helicopter ride with his stunning girlfriend.

As Arsenal’s players arrived at Beijing airport for the friendly against Chelsea this weekend, they were treated like royalty by football fans in the Far East.

The happy couple then messed around with some camera filters as they enjoyed the high life.

Fans held up shirts, paintings of players and other club memorabilia to welcome their heroes, but it was a far cry to what Sanchez was experiencing.

The Chilean, who is rumoured to be on his way out of the Emirates in pursuit of Champions League football, is still enjoying the “high life” with his nearest and dearest.

Sanchez has been granted extended leave after his exertions with Chile in the Confederations Cup.

And he attempted to put any transfer speculation behind him as he enjoyed the last few days of his summer holiday.

He shared photos of him enjoying a helicopter ride with his stunning new girlfriend Mayte Rodriguez.

PSG are now set to table an offer of around £45million for the Chilean forward, who is believed to be desperate for Champions League football.

The news has been shared on Twitter by Paris United, who are usually well-informed about the club’s transfer dealings.

It comes on the back of recent reports that PSG reportedly sent their sporting director to London in a bid to finalise a deal for Alexis Sanchez.

But one player who looks set to stay with the Gunners is Mesut Ozil after the club made a massive breakthrough in his contract talks.

Arsenal are increasingly confident a new £280,000-a-week deal will be struck to keep the German at the Emirates.

Ozil wanted £350,000 a week but looks ready to settle for terms that make him the club’s top earner.

The forward’s camp have been speaking to Arsenal while he is on the club’s tour of Australia and China.

Ozil, 28, has a year left on his current deal but the Gunners believe he will commit his future before the new campaign starts.
