Joshua must forget about Tyson says ex-Champ
ANTHONY JOSHUA must forget all about defending his heavyweight crown against Tyson Fury.
Four-time champion Evander Holyfield says Joshua must think big in order to dominate boxing.
Joshua, 27, is being offered an all-British battle with unbeaten Fury after calling him out following his victory against Wladimir Klitschko back in May.
Tyson Fury has not fought since beating Wladimir Klitschko for the world heavyweight titles in November 2015.
But Holyfield, 54, said: “Joshua has to think about his image. He doesn’t need to be against someone like Fury who jokes a lot and is seen in a different light.
“Joshua has talked about becoming the first billionaire fighter and if he is serious then he will need the big-name fights.
“And Fury really isn’t one of those for Joshua.”
Holyfield was surprised Joshua beat Wladimir Klitschko in April.
He added: “It would be a bona fide rematch, but Joshua has to avoid starting to have an ego.
“He must avoid thinking ‘I don’t have to work as hard this time, I’ve proved I can beat him and I can do it again.’”
