CONOR McGREGOR has hits back at Mike Tyson after the boxing legend claimed Floyd Mayweather will ‘kill’ him in their super-fight.
The UFC superstar is set to take on Money in Las Vegas on August 26 in what some are billing as the fight of the century.
Tyson gave his thoughts on the bout and claimed that Mayweather would be too good for the Irishman to handle.
But McGregor has replied with a cheeky dig at Iron Mike saying: “That’s nice Mike. But you’re looking at the new Don King here, son. Money is mine.”
McGregor also posted an update of his training with a picture of himself in a boxing ring claiming he was going to make everyone ‘eat their words’ while he ‘eats lobster’ for the rest of his life.
Tyson — who wrongly called McGrogor ‘McConor’ throughout the interview — was critical of the MMA fighter for even agreeing to facing the undefeated boxer.
He said: “McGregor is going to get killed in boxing.
“I got mad because I thought they were going to use MMA rules against boxing because that’s what it’s all about, ‘can the boxer beat the MMA guy?’.”
The 40-year-old is regarded as one of the greatest pugilists of all time, having won all of his 49 fights in a career which saw him become a five-weight world champion.
Tyson added: “McConor put his dumba** in a position where he’s gonna get knocked out because this guy’s been doing this all his life since he was a baby.
“McConor can’t kick and grab and stuff so he won’t stand much of a chance.”
McGregor, 29, is in the middle of his training camp in Las Vegas, gearing himself up for one of the richest fights in history.
He is using the state-of-the-art UFC training facility, which boasts some of the most technically-advanced and scientific methods to reach peak physical condition.
